Driving to Halifax

Mom and I drove to Halifax yesterday, and toured a few sights along the way.

Sorry to say, not all these pictures are sharp... there seems to be something wrong with my camera's focus. Until I get to town to get it looked at, I'll just have to make do!

We started off early, so there was still mist on the ground.

We couldn't resist a quick stop to photograph this colourful display.

I tried steamed mussels for the first time in Lunenburg. Yum!

We also met a 'live' sailor who spoke and invited us into his store.

A short, but moving stop at the site of the 1998 flight 311 crash.

Of course, no trip along Nova Scotia's south shore would be complete
without a glimpse of Peggy's Cove.  It is famous for good reason -
the terrain and scenery are absolutely striking!
Definitely more pics to come!
