It’s been a while since I sat down and blogged, but I’m definitely still taking pictures! I have been focusing on seeing the beauty in everyday life.

 

With inspiration from apps like The Best Camera and Instagram, I have been using my iPhone to take a lot of my recent pics. Looking at the date of my last post, it’s clearly time to start sharing some of them here! This pic of Saffron is the first of many you’ll see from my iPhone collection.

One of the biggest perks of moving to Saskatchewan is renewing old friendships. Leanne Heinrichs and I attended Briercrest Bible College together back in the mid-nineties (yes, I'm that old). On Sunday Leanne drove down with her family for a mini reunion and photoshoot. What a fun afternoon!

Travis & Ashley

Yesterday evening I had my first photoshoot here in Regina with Travis and Ashley. We took engagement photos to celebrate their upcoming wedding in December.

Travis and Ashley have a beautiful story. They each got married too young, and after a rocky relationship became divorced... from each other!

Four years later, Ashley ordered food at a drive through restaurant, and was served by Travis. Ashley was so nervous, she couldn't even look at him. But something sparked. Within days they found each other on Facebook, and in just a few weeks they were in love... again!

This time, their relationship is much stronger. The maturity they gained during their years apart has taught them to lean on each other during hard times. Travis has become Ashley's rock, and she is his inspiration.

What a beautiful story of the power of true love and second chances. Ashley and Travis, I loved hearing your story, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds!
