Annapolis Royal Last Look

I met some friends at the German Bakery in Annapolis Royal for coffee a few days ago. Owners Heidi and Dieter are baking magicians, and their beautiful cafe and gardens are a must see!

It's amazing friends like Genie, Brenda and Sandy that I will miss the most when I move.

And I'm happy to say the move is officially official - I booked my flight in the wee hours of this morning! I'll arrive in Regina just in time to see the fireworks on Canada Day!

When I was in Annapolis, I realized that it would likely be my final chance to capture the beautiful homes of this heritage town. Some of these homes date back 300 years, and are wonderfully preserved.

This is the Queen Anne Inn, one of the most beautiful homes I've seen in Nova Scotia. The details and architecture are incredible!

The Hillsdale House Inn. Many of these Victorian homes have been converted into bed and breakfasts. In fact, all 3 of the homes pictured here are hotels. Annapolis Royal is a popular tourist destination in the summer.

Annapolis Royal is also a very artistic community, and the King George Inn fits in beautifully. This registered heritage site was an 1868 sea captain's home.

I am definitely going to miss the rich history here!
