I played around with the video function on my D90 yesterday. I was trying to catch Wings, one of our yellow labs, doing his 'talking' bark. No luck.
For fun, I held a stare down with Bullet. As you can see, it kinda bothers him. ☺
Wings handled the stare-down challenge a little differently.
I think that look is his way of saying ... 'whatever'.
