Framing the Picture

It's a blizzard outside.  The snow is 2 feet high and blowing like crazy.  So I learned to make a frame for my picture in Photoshop.

Heerree comes Gander!

I read a few tutorials, but the way I like best (because it's easy) is to recrop the picture.
  • Open the picture in Photoshop
  • In the color picker, choose the background color, and select the color you want the frame to be.
    • You can use the eyedropper tool to choose a color from the photo if you like.
  • Use the crop tool, and select the entire picture. Then let go of the mouse.
  • Now you can use your mouse to drag the cropped edges out from the edge of the picture - basically crop it bigger.
  • When the edges look good, hit Enter, and voila, the larger area turns the background color you chose!

Wings is chest deep in the snow, but that's not stopping him.
